Integrating M365 templates with your DMS to increase productivity
Did you know that you can integrate your Microsoft 365 templates with your Document Management System (DMS) for an improved user experience to increase productivity and reduce errors by minimising the number of clicks and user inputs?
Regardless of the DMS that you have deployed at your organisation (we commonly work with SharePoint, iManage, NetDocuments and OpenText to name a few), we are often engaged to improve the business user experience specifically in the areas of:
Managing the document number
To take control of the unique document number (and configuration of that number) and its placement on the page and/or nominate specific pages (refer sample dialog below). We can also provide a seamless interface to easily turn on/off the document number displayed on pages when finalising the document for distribution.
Profiling at document creation
Using the save location and its attributes (e.g. Client name, status, project number, etc.) to populate the document as part of the creation process to save re-keying data (refer sample SharePoint properties dialog below).
Profiling when saving the document
Inputs captured at document creation (e.g. Company name, subject, reference number, etc.) via a template dialog (refer sample Letter template dialog below), click and type controls and/or similar can automatically be used to populate metadata when saving the document to simplify and reduce the scope for user error.
